On Sunday the 17th of December 2017 I was lucky to peform the first time a concert together with Murat Coşkun at the E-Werk in Freiburg.

We, Francesca Santangelo and Murat Coşkun, planed to offer a journey to our audience: We met to immerse into the world of percussion of the other one and to come out with something new.

If an artists gets a feedback, that people have been in different atmospheres after the concert, that dramaturgy and versatility have been comprehensible and thirlling, that the communication between us and our worlds was visible and sensible, then we did not just reach the destination of our journey – one knows why one has spend hours and days to prepare such a program! Thank you!

Wir, Francesca Santangelo und Murat Coşkun, hatten uns vorgenommen, dass wir den Besucher*innen unseres Konzerts einen besondere Reise bieten: Wir haben uns zusammengesetzt und uns darauf eingelassen in die rhythmische Welt des Anderen einzutauchen und beim Auftauchen etwas Neues entstehen zu lassen.

Wenn man als Künstler nach einem Konzert die Rückmeldung bekommt, dass Menschen sich “wie in anderen Atmosphären” fühlten, dass Dramatrugie und Vielfalt nachvollziebar und spannend waren, dass die Kommunikation zwischen uns und unseren Welten sichtbar und spürbar war, dann haben wir nicht nur unser Zeil erreicht – nein, dann weiß man wofür die vielen Stunden und Tage, die ein solches Programm erfordern, gut waren!

Es ist uns gelungen eine weite Vielfalt von Rhythmen auf die Bühne zu bringen.

Als Profischalgzeugerin stets die Chance zu haben noch mehr zu lernen, dass Verstehen der eigenen Kunst wachsen zu lassen und Inspiration als eine erneuernden Einfluss auf eigene Kunst-konzepte anwenden zu können – ist ein großes Geschenk!
